Kids are going back to school and the summer holidays are at a close! With school arriving, it also means the arrival of having to pack school lunches everyday. We want to give you a helping hand, so we’ve created a guide with some healthy and tasty vegan school lunch box ideas.
These easy vegan school lunch box ideas are perfect for primary school, high school, uni, or even work. These 6 lunch box ideas have everything you need to power through lessons (and meetings). They contain fruit, snacks, protein, veggies, carbs, and vitamins. Plus they taste amazing!
Veggie wrap
A great wrap is super easy to make and can be filled with anything you like. A key to a great tasting wrap is to use a tortilla you love. (We recommend a soft tortilla filled with crunchy food.) Once you have your wrap, be sure to fill it full of veg that tastes great. You can use everything from peppers to leafy greens, then top with hummus for even more flavour.
Top tip: If you want to add a bit more, you can add meat substitutes. These can be cooked the night before, chopped up, then wrapped up. Vegan nuggets or seasoned tofu are great for this.
Burgers!
Burgers have been demonised for being unhealthy for far too long. No more. We’re here to show you how a burger can be healthy and tasty at the same time, because really, they’re just a slightly bigger sandwich.
You can fill your burger with everything from falafel to a meat substitute, to even veggies. If you go down the falafel burger route, you can compliment your burger with things like salsa, guacamole, tomato, or cucumber.

Fruit pot
Instead of just adding a boring apple or banana to their lunchbox, why not try adding a medley of different snackable fruits. Fruits you can mix together include blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and melon.
If you’re struggling to get your little one to eat fruit, why don’t you let them choose the fruit they want. Give them free reign in the shop to choose their chosen fruit, this means they won’t feel like they have been forced to eat the fruit.
Tip: To help make your fruit a bit more interesting, you can add the berries into a yoghurt.
Vitamins
Following a vegan diet does mean you are going to miss out on vital vitamins like B12 and Iron, however they’re really easy to supplement with. If your little one is fussy around taking big tablets, we have the answer. Our vegan gummy bear vitamins taste are the chewable vitamins you or your little ones will love. This clever little bear gives you the important vitamins you miss out on when following a vegan diet, all while tasting amazing and helping the environment.
Carrot/celery/cucumber sticks
Carrot, celery, and cucumber sticks all make amazing snacks to fill our vegan school lunch box. These types of vegetables are loaded with vitamins and minerals and taste great when dipped into dips. Some good dips to try are bean dips, guacamole, yogurt-based dips, or peanut butter.
Enjoying your chosen stick with peanut butter or almond butter will give you a more high protein snack, while adding your carrot stick to hummus will give you a healthy dose of protein and fibre. Guacamole is a potassium-rich dip that pairs well with the flavor of carrots.
Add in a few biscuits!

- Jammy Dodgers
- Oreos
- Asda’s Pink Wafers
